An Assistant Group Financial Accountant role with STAR Asset Finance based in Coleshill, North Warwickshire

Kennet Equipment Leasing is part of the STAR Group and we have been providing business equipment finance to UK companies since 1990. We provide the Group’s financial and assets reporting, and as our own book reaches £100 Million, this is an exciting time to join us.

We are currently seeking an Assistant Group Financial Accountant, to join us on a permanent, full-time basis.

As an Assistant Group Financial Accountant, you will support the monthly production of our consolidated group management accounts and assist the Group Financial Accountant. Specifically, you will ensure that our consolidated group accounts comply with FRS 102 regulations and produce our consolidated group management pack. Working closely with the Group Financial Accountant, you will support audit, statutory accounts, tax, funding, treasury, business modelling and group project work.


Additionally, you will:

  • Review balance sheet reconciliations for subsidiaries
  • Assist with funding facility renewals
  • Monitoring group cash flow and funding requirements
  • Assist with investor valuations 


To be considered as an Assistant Group Financial Accountant, you will need:

  • A professional accountancy qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience in financial statutory reporting
  • Experience with excel business modelling
  • The ability to produce reports to tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills

Ideally, you will have experience in the financial services industry. Other organisations might call this role Accountant, Qualified Accountant, Assistant Group Accountant, Financial Reporting Accountant, or Assistant Group Reporting Accountant.
