As part of the STAR Asset Finance Group, Ignition, our Truro-based specialist in vehicle and asset finance for UK SMEs, has appointed Stephen Lee as its new Business Development Manager. The appointment supports the Group’s continued commitment to strengthening its presence across the South West and delivering relationship-led, flexible finance solutions to regional businesses.
Ignition provides finance for a wide range of assets, from plant and machinery to vehicles, equipment, and renewable technologies. Funding is offered directly or through strong partnerships with major finance houses, supporting everything from coffee machines and HGVs to classic cars and solar panels, as well as commercial loans for cash flow, refurbishments, and tax liabilities.
Stephen joins Ignition from Simply Asset Finance, where he was Area Sales Manager. With more than 20 years’ experience in the sector, his background includes a long tenure with Ford Credit, where he initially supported new car and commercial vehicle dealerships across Devon and Cornwall before progressing to a wider role overseeing 32 sites across the South of England.
Based near Torquay, Stephen is already well connected within the regional business community. In his new role, he will focus on supporting SMEs throughout Devon and extending into Somerset and Dorset, bringing deep automotive expertise while championing finance solutions for key regional industries including manufacturing and hospitality.
