Charity starts at home…or at work

Here at the Star Asset Finance Group, we enjoy giving back to our local communities including working with our employees and partners to create positive change. Take a look at some of the charity projects we have taken part in to date.

Credo Canaryball Rally 2019

In 2019 Credo created the Credo Canaryball Rally. The event was held in Norwich and the seventeen cars that took part were waved off by the legendary Norwich City Football Club player Jeremy Goss. The winners of the rally were UPukki and £75,000 was successfully raised.

National Three Peaks Challenge 2021

Jack and Oliver from our Credo team put themselves through this gruelling climbing event and raised £1300. The boys climbed the three highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales. They completed the challenge along with 12 others in 30 hours. We are very proud of what Jack and Oliver achieved and how much they managed to raise. INSERT LINK TO STORY

Simon Gray Invitational Golf Day 2021

The team raised a whopping £2,700 participating in this day. Who doesn’t love a little competition and a good round of golf!

Community Sports Foundation

Credo has worked with this organisation since 2018. During that time the team have managed to raise a massive £71,600. The foundation uses the power of sport to inspire the community. Their beliefs include driving inclusion for those with disabilities boosting health and wellbeing and supporting disadvantaged people to raise their aspirations.

Canaryball Rally 2022

The success of the Credo Canaryball Rally manifested in the Scottish Highlands as 24 cars left Norwich and embarked on an 1800 mile round trip to the Scottish Highlands and the iconic North Coast 500 route to raise money for the Community Sports Foundations. In total, this fantastic event raised £70,000.

Other charity events

The Credo team are on fire with their charitable activities and during 2022 there were further milestones with a coastal walk in June raising £xx for the Community Sports Foundation. Another member of the team took part in the Three Peaks Challenge in July and raised a further £1,600.

Movember Mindful Walk 2021

The team at Ignition Credit raised £1,796 for the Alzheimer’s Society. These donations help to fund men’s health programmes including a focus on mental health and suicide prevention. With Ignition raising a further £1,030 for the charity on Just Givin

Kennet Equipment Leasing has raised £2674 for Acorn’s Children’s Hospital during 2022 – they provide specialist palliative care for babies, children and young adults, as well as support for their families.

First Capital Finance raised £2300 for Julia’s House. This amazing charity provides practical and emotional support for families caring for a child with a life-threatening or life-limiting illness. Invaluable support when it is most needed.

All in all we are very proud of the tenacious teams around our business who are happy to go the extra mile to help their local communities as well as the more well-known charities.
